2017 HELLO !!

Wow, you know, I really cannot believe it has been 10 months since my last blog post.

Where did 2016 go ? Seriously…. Where did it go… !! Anyone else feel that way ?

After the spontaneous and exciting year of 2015 I decided to take a few months off to be able to find myself again. I wanted to make time for my family, my partner, my friends, and to try to have the so called “balanced” lifestyle that everyone kept going on about.

To be honest, the more I tried to stay focused on my own life without the fast-paced stressful fashion driven deadlines, the more I actually steered myself down a road of frustration and dissatisfaction. My passion never quit on me, it was always there for me no matter what. When I was sad angry or depressed, or when I was driven and determined and inspired, after a break up or even when I felt like unleashing whatever creative demon was inside me. So why did I feel the need to step away from something that made me feel so good ? Because sometimes people need a break.

2015 was like a big wave, it whooshed high, surprised me, and swept me off my feet carrying me out somewhere far to either drown or to swim… and boy did I swim !! I experienced so much during that year and I was so grateful for all the amazing opportunities I had been given. A real dream come true, a real taste of what it could be like. After my second show in LA ( which I STILL have to tell you all about !! ) I decided to take that short break. The short break in 2016 turned into a few months, which turned into 6 months, which then resulted in almost a year of being away from the blog. I had the opportunity to have those beautiful feelings of freedom and creativity again, and I took them every chance I got but it was still lacking the full impact of what it used to be.

After stepping away from it for 10 months and focusing more on my life and my career, communicating through my instagram and face book, I can confidently and proudly say that I was never gone, I was just growing and preparing myself for the year to come.

I was grooming myself and excelling in my career in the commercial fashion world.

You only live once . Dream Big. And never EVER let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve your goals !!

For those of you who have been apart of my journey, I apologise for leaving you without an explanation but I hope the above clears it up for you.

2017, I’m ready for you.

I will endeavour to inspire you, motivate you, and push you, sometimes to make you laugh and maybe at times to make you cry.

There will be blog posts almost every weekend, I will aim to do at least 3-4 posts every month just like I used to !
