A Few weeks back I promised to bring to you all my Ratavosi label Spring/Summer photo-shoot pictures.

A very chilli Morning !
After Hair and makeup we set out super early to a rather unusual place for a photo-shoot.
A Cemetery.
I’d always wanted to do a shoot like this so I guess inspiration and collection was perfect for it.
Pure Genuine Leather, the softest and best quality one can get.

So if you haven’t already guessed, today’s trend topic is NEON. Below is my lovely sister-in-law sporting this trend.
Vana wears this BOLD neon lime Lace top from Bardot. It has a super cute black tie up bow at the back and also a very nice timeless scalloped edge on both the hem and sleeves. Matte black A-line mini skirt from label Whitney Eve.
Accessories !
She has accessorised her look with a big Michael Kors Tote Bag.
She also wear a Silver Jewelled Necklace to tie in the look.
When accessorising with neon Lace it is important to remember not to overdo the entire outfit.
There is no need to bling it out excessively. Just one simple Necklace will do if the neckline allows it, as there is already a lot going on in not only the lace pattern but the colour too.
Now I know it’s usually a Summer trend, which is now frequently seen on icons and bloggers in the northern hemisphere. ( Wish we were enjoying it with you too boohoo!) but you can always bring it back during winter to add a nice pop of colour to your outfit.
Actress and Blogger Ashley Madekwe recently blogged a similar look.
Ashley wears a playsuit made from neon lace, faux leather and ruffles. I couldn’t have thought of a better combo in a playsuit myself !
I absolutely love when lace and leather are combined in pieces, it gives it character – it becomes more of a statement piece.

The first we really noticed this trend here in Australia was when Romance was Born opened up Fashion week in 2012 with their superhero styled comic book collection.
They absolutely, with no question brought their very own comic book to life and took costume dress up for this theme to a whole new ready-to-wear level.
Since then I have started to notice more “pops” of this trend come about through even bigger designers and even hit the shelves in department stores.
And somehow (through my lovely job) managed to get my hands on a very special Pop art Tube Skirt From Top Shop. (below)
This beautiful comic Art inspired Skirt is absolutely GORGEOUS and such a fun piece to have.
It’s super trend driven and all the pops of Red and Yellow colour make it that much easier to Style.
The Perfect Colour Palette for this trend is obviously Black and white with a combination of Red, Yellow and Blue.
Accessories that would go perfect with this trend are high shine bags and belts and Gold Coloured jewellery.
Primary Coloured Shoes, Red, Blue and Yellow would also go well with this trend.
Although this skirt is not available on Top shops Website.

I know its Pre-fall 2012 but I absolutely love it AND it’s TOTALY RELEVANT.
