Boohoo for Christmas !! The fashionable, Happy kind of Boohoo <3
Hello Beautiful People !
It’s the second last day of 2013 and I couldn’t be more happier to be here in LA, California spending time with my family.
The weather here is actually quite pleasant – Crisp mornings, warm days and slightly chili evenings. The transeasonal wardrobe totally works here !!
Speaking of Wardrobes, I know just the perfect retailer for those trend driven, affordable fashion-finds this month.
If you haven’t already heard of them, They are a UK based online retailer of affordable fashion who have been trading here in Australia for some time now.
Shipping is quick and inexpensive (standard delivery to Australia is free) and their Christmas 2013/14 lookbook is heavy with romantic colours and elegant patterns perfect for the Australian Summertime.
Here are some highlights…
The Moroccan Sands range is rich with vibrant colour, bold prints and bohemian fabrics. Perfect for both walking on the beach and grabbing a drink in the nearest bar, Moroccan Sands infuses vintage class with modern patterns making the perfect collection for an ultra stylish summer trend.
The Desert Rose collection is all about clashing textures in the most feminine of ways. Metallic and silk, lace and crochet, ruffles; anything goes when it comes to Desert Rose. Keeping the colours light, bright and sandy ensures that this collection is ideal for Christmas and New Year celebrations whilst maintaining an incredibly edgy aesthetic.
Inspired by the carnivals of Rio, the De Janeiro collection celebrates the life and soul of Brazil. Parrot inspired colours and big clashing prints come together to bring a collection of outfits ready to party in. With hues of luscious lemon, zesty lime and hot coral the De Janeiro range will make you the life and soul of the party.
Which is your favourite boohoo style?

Happy New Year Everyone !
xoxo Much Love,
Wonderful weekend <3
Crazy busy weekend, such beautiful and unforgettable moments with the people I love, and a splash of shopping !
That pretty much sums up my weekend…
Saturday morning began with a mad rush to our local “mall” as mum and I quickly tried to get some super important pre-christening errands done.
I was feeling very drained from the work week, struggling to get out of bed and get to it, so I thought I’d try and refresh myself for a big day ahead by adding a fresh pop to my outfit.
Nothing screams BRIGHT louder than a neon multi-coloured cross appliqued across your chest on a sheer pastel.
Add a neon textured scarf to it and VOILA you’re shining “bright like a diamond”.
Do we love it ?!
Limping around with my knee I just couldn’t resist ! I had to stop by at Betts, and well… we all know what happens when I stop by at Betts
YAY – Brought new shoes ! *smiles like a loser*
With my knee, back problems and all, These shoes don’t actually have much of a high heel AND are a great spring/summer style that go with pretty much anything in the wardrobe.
Love the wood and thick black strap design – Cannot wait to take these babies on a Test run.
Shopping was over – we quickly headed home so that I could get my face and hair “did” for our beautiful baby Alex’s christening and First birthday !
Half a can of hairspray and 40 minutes of makeup later, it was dress time !
It seems that when I have important functions there is always something wrong with at least one part of my body, but it’s okay no panic here, we just keep our fashion face on !
For this look I meshed formal with confidence and comfort and with that I present to you the beautiful Saskia Maxi from Zen clothing !
A gorgeous blue and yellow print, elasticated waist, gold embellished high scoop neck and halter cut.
It was just perfect for all my “body” problems.
I wanted to hide my legs, thanks to knee surgery they were uneven and slightly muscle-less, so the smartest way to do it was with a maxi !
As the dress already had a gold embellishment on the neck, Accessorising it was easier than ever.
we added one of these babies.
Gold plated waist belt.
Completely on-trend and very easy to find.
After the gold comes the nude !
Nude beginnings ?!
Add a big envelope bag made from textured material to dress it up.
and instead of cluttering the look with bangles and bracelets, I just did it simple with a tortoise-shell like Fossil watch.
and finally the shoes.
Usually I would dazzle it up with a pair of platforms but due to my knee I found the perfect pair of not-so-casual flats.
Thankyou Therapy and my Boss for helping me hunt these down !
Snakeskin detailed straps.
and a little heel so the back and knees don’t cry.
Now we were ready to go to the church for the christening.
Congratulations Little one on this very special day, you have a whole life ahead of you an we are so happy to be apart of your life – Sharing every little step you take.
After the Church comes the reception of course !
The wonderful parents and Godparents or Alex did a tremendous job at decorating.
Every Child’s heaven.
Wonderful weekend. Complete.
I’m off to bed lovers, xoxo
Goodnight all over the world, Lights out
Sometimes when the weather is absolutely horrible and depressing I open up my closet, sit in it for awhile and then pick out the most brightest or boldest item I have.
Something so different to the weather outside just to lift up the mood a little.
The Star of today’s post is a very summery, very fresh, batwing/kimono-sleeve Shirt.
I Picked up this beauty when my friend from Melbourne was down to visit.
We were casually having dinner at Darling Harbour when the sight of these beautiful Hibiscus printed tops and skirts captured our attention (and of course it was an impulse buy).
Now Every time I look at it I think of her and how we had such a great catch up in such a short amount of time ! ❤ you Bianca
Orange and white hibiscus flowers printed on a peach base. Perfect for Spring/Summer
For those of you who are enjoying Spring/Summer now (unlike us) a floral printed shirt like this is definitely a must-have !
Two reasons – 1 is that you can dress it up and make it very day to night as you can wear it buttoned up with a statement necklace – something gold and chunky.
2 is that you can unbutton it like in the picture, for an everyday casual look.
Just add a plain camisole underneath and a loose single pendant necklace.
If it gets a little chilli you can even add a brown scarf.
or even a lightweight metallic thread one.

Voila ! All set for the day ahead !
For accessories, as mentioned you can play with the orange, pinks, ivory browns and white palette’s – always fun to play with pastels. As well as mixing it up with little splashes of gold or antique gold.
Something new-vintage would look great with this like a small boxy bag, any shade of brown leather or like I have added a nice orange off-the-shoulder bag.

something for night…
something for the day…
The brand of the Shirt is “Sweet Girl” unfortunately I couldn’t find you an online link guys ! Sorry !

Goodmorning it’s Boho Beach Time !
Woke up this morning to the pitter-patter sound of the rain ! I Chucked on my converse jumper, my amazing pair of Ponte leggings, laced up my new joggers and out the door I went.
Driving to work with the windows up, windscreen wipers on, I thought, “Shit ! another 6 more months of this – I miss spring/summer already !” I will admit that I do in fact love all the layers, and warm wintery clothes but the hot summer sun or that perfect spring breeze wins my heart far more than any woollen scarf or trench ever will !… So to brighten up our day – blog wise – a summery post for all my northern hemisphere readers ! Enjoy it while you can !

Paper Crown | LC.
Sweet. Smart. Stylish.
Three words that I’d use to describe former Hills star Lauren Conrad.
(No I’ve never met her – but Yes I’d absolutely love to!)
Now if you’ve been following this blog you’ll know I absolutely love “The Hills” especially my two favourites – Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port.
Watching their lives unfold and blossom on television, without gettting carried away (cough-Heidi-Cough), has inspired me, it’s made me fall in love with their determination, and their on-screen personality, as well as being able to relate to their busy fashion-focused lives. I believe that Lauren and Whitney, Today, are two great examples of educated talented, growing women who are living their dreams and are working hard at them. Everytime I’m feeling a little uninspired or unfocused about fashion I think of them and what they’ve both achievedd in such little amount of time and it “rejuvinates” me haha !
so I’ll get to the point now – What has caught my eye recently was the sneak peak preview of Lauren’s Spring 2013 Collection for Kohl’s.
The below images are of Lauren in a few pieces from that very own Collection as she beautifully shows them off for us !
I’m totally loving all the polka dots and the very vintage vibe of the shoot.
The Colour palette is also a perfect way to kick start that Spring wardrobe and to add some nice fresh pieces to the autumn/winter wardrobe you’d have. ( Unfortunately we’re heading out of Summer here with our last month of Summer – Sighs… I’m going to miss these scorching hot summer days…until they come by again)
Fresh forest greens and vibrant pinks have been used on some really great statement pieces. They’ll liven up any outfit.
Hope you loved her collection as much I did !
